Happy (early) Father's Day to me!

An un-named fellow out our model railroad club has been bugging me to purchase the new Athearn Genesis GP38-2 that was recently released for the good old Louisville & Nashville (among others).  I've been resisting the best that I can, but then Father's Day is just around the corner.........................

Well, you know what happened...."resistance is futile".  Here's a shaky iPone(tm) video of the loco running around the club layout:

Nice Rick, Does the misses

Nice Rick,

Does the misses know what she got you yet. If not maybe let her know what you want and you just might have a set as they look better in pairs.

P.S. Your secret is safe with us.

Funny, Rob

No, she doesn't know yet; however she loves the jewelry channel on TV and I've been encouraging her to "get herself something pretty" for Mother's Day.  I don't think that I could pull off another loco, but my birthday is in August!

GP38-2

That's great Rick.  Really a nice-looking unit.  How does it run?

Your post makes me that much more anxious for the arrival of my IAIS GP38-2s, but they're not due until November, so I guess I'd better learn a little patience. smiley
