CP Slab Hoppers
Sun, 2014-02-23 19:28 — brivard
It's been nice to see the interest in the CP's Slab side hoppers. Back when our only modeling option was Overland brass and the Sylvan kit I soon needed to find a way to improve upon the Sylvan kits end and side ladders. I built a jig which allowed me to quickly construct the ladders.

Remodel
I don't think you needed to improve your track! It looks great in the photo also but when seeing your layout in GMR sometime back, I was drawn to your realistic layout but especially your trackwork. Keep remodeling though and keep updating. Thanks.
Bob, your layout always looks
Bob, your layout always looks good and is one of the best detailed to prototype operation.
This change for the St. Paul line will make it a bit easier to follow while operating. Thanks for sharing the progress.

Don't know how I missed this
I don't know how I missed this back in February Bob, but it's always a treat to see your updates, so I was happy to find this one today. Beautiful work as always.

Yes CSXFanatic. Douglas Hildebrant shot my layout on youtube last year. Just search on Youtube Bob Rivard Soo Line. I also have plans to video tape some scenes with my new HD camera. Can't wait to share the new re-model project on video. I also have my outdoor G scale RR on my Youtube channel.

Great SOO layout
Bob,
I always enjoyed looking at your layout - whether in the media pages or in person (my one visit during NorthStar '99 with the LDsig). My mom's folks had their home along Rice Street near the border of Roseville and Little Canada - and the Soo Line was right across the street, just a bit south of the NP underpass. I have fond memories of the SOO during the mid-to-late '70s from visits to their house - your layout helps bring those back.
Thanks for sharing!
