Important Note to Internet Explorer or Safari users on a PC / Mac: Please right click (ctrl-click on Mac) and select "Save target as" (IE) or "Download link as" (Safari) to save the PDF to your device instead of opening it in your browser. HTML5 compliant browsers like Chrome or Firefox will automatically save the PDF to your device when you click the link. Also on Macs when using Safari, holding down Option while clicking on a link will force it to download instead of displaying.

Download to iPad
I have attempted several times to download the current issue of MRH to my iPad without success. I usually download issiues (full, portrait) and open in iBook. All previous issues downloaded fine. The download gets to 100%, the cover page appears very briefly and the goes blank and a message appears "error with download. Reloading" but the page stays blank.
I have an iPad Mini Retina version with the latest version of iOs installed last night. The same issue occurred with my attempts yesterday prior to installing the recent 9.3.3 update and of course I have restarted my iPad and cleared Safari browser data as well.

July issue to iPad
If you're downloading the Embedded Edition to an iPad, you're wasting your time. The Embedded edition is of no value in iBooks because the Embedded media won't play. Other than the embedded media, the Standard Edition is identical (has been since 2013) and is a LOT smaller file. The Embedded Edition media will only play on a PC.
This month's Embedded Edition is the largest ever and downloading large files inside a browser on a mobile device is NOT recommended. It is unpredictable, failing for strange reasons such as what you're experiencing. Browsers lack download manager features, assuming most in-browser downloads will be fairly small.
Get yourself the GoodReader app ($5) and use that to do your downloads - it has a nice built-in download manager and it is a great reader for our magazine and a great tool for downloading and viewing the MRH Store books and videos (that's right, GoodReader also plays videos).
Or if you INSIST on doing downloads in a browser, get the Mercury Browser (both free and paid versions available) and use it for doing the downloads of MRH. The Mercury Browser includes a very nice built in download manager, which the other browsers don't have. The Mercury browser is the only browser that's reliable with larger downloads because it includes large file download manager features the other browsers lack.

Thanks for the quick reply.
The problem does not occur with the standard version which I just attempted. It only occurred with the embedded edition. I had successfully downloaded previous embedded issues without a problem.
i will look into the Goodreader app you mentioned. Thanks
