It reminds me of when a friend of mine and I built a joint layout in his basement and had an interchange track(did we even know what that was 50 years ago) go off the end of the layout. It did not take long to try and see how far an Athearn rubber band drive Hustler would fly! Fortunately we set up a soft cushioned couch as a landing zone...
PS...they really went fast and flew quite far and I still have it, pack rat that I am...
