March
I can't download the issue no matter which way I try.
Still won't load on Surface (Windows 8 RT)
March edition still won't load on a Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 (32 bit Windows RT). Flash version 11.6.602.171 which is supposed to be the latest. Disappointing...
Questions ...
First what device? PC, Mac, iPad, IPhone, Android, what?
Second, have you rebooted the device completely? That often helps.
Third, what does can't download mean? Download never starts? Download throws an error ( error message please)? Download hangs? Download appears to finish, but there's no file? Download finishes, but the issue won't open? What?
Lastly make sure you try both the primary and the mirror, and that you try the green button other download options. The flash downloader can be flakey for some people. You might also try the download button in the bottom nav bar on the cover page of the online edition.

download
download never starts.
I have tried both the standard and mirror sites, and yes i have re-booted twice.
Did you try the download button on the online edition?
Go to the online edition, and at the bottom of the cover, try the download button. See if that works for you.
Sounds like you are trying the flash wizard. Also try the links on this page, including the mirror links.

downloads
Could the problem be that the download is forced to "all files" format? PDF is not a choice. If the download completes, the file is unreadable.
This applies to the Feb issue also; at least in the landscape format.
Not sure I understand
Not sure I understand this statement. Where is this happening? It comes down as a PDF in all our download tests.

March download
When trying to download the March issue, either from a recent e-mail message, from the web site "other reading options" link, or from the cover page of the magazine, the download dialog box allows only "All Files" as the file type. The download eventually completes (it was so slow early this morning that it timed out several times) but the file is unreadable. I've only had time to try opening it with Windows Photo Viewer and PDF file types so far. Hope this helps.
I just downloaded the
I just downloaded the embedded landscape version of March and Adobe acrobat liked it fine. Why are you attempting to open a pdf file in Windows Photo Viewer?
