H0 outdoors - Has this trial already been done?
I am being "encouraged" to create an outdoor layout in 00/H0 scale. Most outdoor layouts are larger scales, but I have many locos and rolling stock and don't want to change.
One problem (among many) is the sustainability of the track. I am running an experiment at the moment in one of my orchards with some pieces of Hornby, PECO and Marklin track to see which stands up the best to the climate.
I don't think a side by side experiment over 12 months has ever been done - or if it has, reported on - before?

First Sceney to arrive on the Colorado Front Range
Well I took a break from wiring to work on a little scenery so here are some shots of my work set in Colorado in fall of 1959. I am still working on my JMRI CTC and Control panels for staging. The Staging panel is almost done just need to wire in the block occupiers and build the logic. Power control and turnouts are all done and working great. The CTC panel is started and turnouts are just about done. but so much computer work I needed a break. This is just the start. Here are some photos hope this spurs you to work on your layout.

Mid South Model Railroad Club and Others in Baton Rouge La.
Unfortunately the MSMRC had 27 inches of water in the club with the Aug 13, 2016 record flooding in Baton Rouge La. Also Jim Loflands Tall Timbers and Santa Fe also had water almost right up to the bottom of the layout. One additional one with water in the train room was Jack Shall Louisiana Central Railroad.
The link is to the MSMRC FB page which has the pictures of the clean out of the building.

Rathole Division of the Southern RR.
This will be one great model railroad when finished but been waiting since the last century to post something and decided a little something was better than nothing at all.

Work on the G&D engineshed continued
During the last few days I continued on my G&D engine shed.
For some time I thought about how I could make the windows of these building. Because I didn't know if there are a commercial available product out there I scratch built them. I copied the windows on clear acetat sheet from the drawings I have, and glued stained wooden profiles on them. Then I inserted the windows.
