Thanks for all the comments and advice - I did find a great map that gave me the info I needed. I was able to map out the actual route. Glen

Sneak Peek- New Steel Mill Modeling book
I recently finished work on a manuscript for a new book on steel mill modeling for Kalmbach Publishing. The book should be ready for the 2010 time frame. Here are some sneak peek images from the book. The upper image shows an N scale blast furnace. The lower photo is an HO scale factory assembled hot metal car weathered to look like the prototype photo.
BREAKING NEWS - DC Metro Rail train collission
MRH colleagues:
While this site is a great family for trading ideas and experiences about model railroading, we wouldn't have this great hobby if it were not for the real thing. So when there is a problem on the prototype, we often take notice. In that vein, I hope you will all permit me to diverge for just a second to talk about today's crash.

BMLA Topgon arrived today!
I received the in-stock notice from MB Klein saying the non-logo topgon was in stock, and I immediately ordered one (last one according to the site!).
My model just came in today. Kudos goes out to BLMA for a PERFECT product, paint & printing is sharp. End detail, including wheel size info is included in the printing. Detail is one of the best on the market. The only thing it lacks is full brake piping and the train airline hose (I'll use a Hi-tech real rubber hose for the latter).
I hate it when that happens
In the wake of the Giant Claw Incident of last week, I was finally able to get my imaginery n-scale work crews back to work on the layout. They had been terrorized by a black bird which had somehow found its way into my basement coming down the chimney flue and luckily didn't end up in the flue leading to the boiler.
"Horailnut" R.I.P...
Time For A Name Change...
What does an "horailnut" do when he has sold most of his HO stuff on Ebay and is now a devoted N scaler? He becomes known as "nrailnut." It will take a while to get used to seeing that nickname... More to follow, as this is only the beginning...
More N scale, please!
Generally, I'm very pleased with Model Railroad Hobbyist e-zine. After a rough start, your Linux log-in seems to be working tickety-boo.
Main comment I would want to make is to ask for more N scale content. Those Horribly Oversized types get more than their share. How about treating us Normal types to some extra material?
Gord Craig.
