new stuff for my "Peavine Sub.
hello everyone here are some new scratch builds for my peavine sub layout. first up will be the check in-check out canopy for my IM yard canopy for my IM yard. the vertical stanchions are evergreen "I" beams. i know they are out of scale but it's all i had at the time of the build. they are not permanently attached so i will replace them at a later date.
BLMA RADIO ANTENNA
to all....i recently purchased this BLMA radio antenna for my "N" scale "glendale AZ" depot. the instructions say to bend your tower & "glue" it together. it doesn't mention what type of glue. so proceeded to use "CA" cement. i have assembled a few other etched metal models with no problem using "CA" . for some reason, the "CA" is not working on this model.
GLENDALE AZ DEPOT FINALLY COMES TO MY LAYOUT
to all...here are a couple of pics of the depot in glendale az. & also a short summery of it's history.
i was going to scratch build this structure but , one day when i was on ebay, i found this plasticville model that is very close to the prototype. so i thought for $10.00 i would take a chance. when i received the kit, i was surprised to see it was a snap together kit.
NEW INDUSTRY FOR MY "PEAVINE SUB"

i started with evergreen .030 thick by .030 spacing metal siding
next i cut out all the openings
STACK CARS
to all... i need some input about running a stack train. this is an "N" scale layout. i am using micro engineering code 55 track. my well cars are from different manufacturers ( walthers, deluxe innovations, mdc / roundhouse & kato) most have 33" metal wheels & i have weighted all the containers. the problem i am having is they derail at various spots on my layout. i don't know what else to do to keep these guys on the track. does any one have any suggestions???? help !!!!

I LOVE MY OIL CANS
today i decided to take a break from building stuff & do another test run with a tank train. a pair of kato dash 9's have the assignment. tank cars are MDC & Atlas. my daughter was the engineer for this run. she totally freaked out when the train hit a dead spot & came to a screeching halt.
the train is picked up just west of Mobest yard & passes through north Phoenix, south Glendale, central Glendale ( intermodal yard) north Glendale, Peoria & the Aqua Frea bridge ( a dry river bed)
