This is a great new layout under construction. Big take away is no matter what the issue is we can all participate in Model Railroading. Bob McIntyre is a great modeler and a great person.  Spent some time talking with him at NMRA Show just a great story of overcoming.  This was a layout on the Layout Design Sig Tour. NMRA 2013

John Travis was host to a OpSig Operations session on one of the nights at the NMRA Nat. Convention. This is a great Layout.  Their are two video the one I took and one done for him.  John has created a very simple car tag car movement system. You will see them on top of cars.

Kato did not put a DCC plug in Engine, they said it would add to much to price. Duu. They now say they are creating a set of instructions to hard weir in decoder. So what's wrong with this story. Another major manufacture did not do market research and put out incomplete engine not ready for prime time.

My solution is easy don't buy them, if enough of us do not buy them maybe they will get the message. 

I was going to put Joe and the MRH booth up first but decided model trains are more important. This Modular Layout caught my eye. There were many at the show.  Lighting, Building Structures, Effective use of Mirrors, along with a great consistent appearance.

For the total approach to a model railroad this is one of the best in the US. This RR in set in the modern era and it's operations come as close as you can get to the real thing.  Lessons to be learned for this layout are endless. Three Parts.

This video is great, the test board and miniature speakers make me think it would be worth building something like this for testing before installing.
