I wanted to add a lift bridge to my layout.

And I wanted a lighthouse.

But I didn`t have room for both.  So a little plastic surgery was in order.

These are the two victims of my bashing:

I've created a small "man cave" in the corner of the basement for my model workshop.  (I selected "Benchwork" from the category options because there was nothing close). 

Started out as cold storage room / root cellar.  We've been using it as a storage room for years.  Took two pickup truck loads of stuff to the dump.  Put down a subfloor (dri-core) and framed in some OSB walls with some styro-sheet insulation between the studs. The right wall is half peg board.

One thought leads to another, certain things need to happen first, and then in the wee hours of the morning the Plan is born.

The "Plan" started out simple enough - I wanted to upgrade my control panel from the current Atlas based system to a layout diagram toggle switch style control panel.  To do that properly I decided I should really redo all the electrical - or at least make it less like plastic speghetti
