Win Win

Well this portrait/landscape option should make everybody happy.  I like the way the main entrance screen is laid out with the buttons for either option.  My eyes aren't getting any sharper and I prefer to read the issues on my computer, the larger the screen the better.

Thanks, the click here link now goes to Feb Portrait version. Great to stamp these bugs out before we open the flood gates to the new issue on the front page and with the email blast.

no whining from me this month...

I also noticed the link went to Jan issue but the other link worked fine. Thanks for reviving the landscape format!

Not working on my Nook, or laptop

Grey pictures, sluggish 20-30 second lags just to turn pages on the laptop, and reading the mag on my Nook seems impossible.

Any suggestions?

Peter - is this the online edition?

Peter - is this the online edition? Have you tried downloading to your Nook and using the ezPDF reader to read it locally on your device instead of over what sounds like a really slow web connection on your device?

Atta-boy

So far as I can see, my copy of the embedded edition in landscape has been flawless!

Two thumbs up!

Thanks MRH.

Appreciating Modeling In All Scales but majoring in HO!

Not everybody likes me, luckily not everybody matters.

Double Atta-boy !!

I too use pc's to read MRH . The new gen2 landscape works perfectly.

Thank you Joe.

Randy

Joe, was that way on several

Joe, was that way on several occasions with same set ups I used previously at home, and also was slow on the T1 fiber optic pipeline at work.

I usually read online because I have no clue which version is the best format for my mobile devices (Nook and a Droid phone).

Love the mag. Hoping to get back to reading without the hiccups.

Peter - getting a local copy on your Nook and Droid

Peter:

First you want to purchase the ezPDF Reader app for your device. If they have ezPDF Reader Pro because it will let you do facing pages (called double pages in ezPDF Reader).

Then go to the MRH website, go to the Portrait version and select the red Copy to my computer button and download the issue to your device. In ezPDF you will find the downloaded MRH PDF in the All PDFs folder. You can create a special MRH folder and move the issues to there is you like.

This is covered for the Kindle Fire in a YouTube video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyoeMn6Y7RI

Whie this video is for the Kindle, your Nook and Droid will be very similar if you're using ezPDF Reader to read the magazine. The best way to view this video is to expand it to full screen and watch the HD version so you can see all the little writing on the Kindle screen and can better follow the process.

Hope this gets you going with a faster local copy of MRH on your device. We also will be doing some things over the next few days to speed up the Online version, but even with that done, a local copy of the magazine on your device is not that large and it will always be MUCH faster.
