Railfanning the BC&SJ - MRH Theater

Railfanning the Bear Creek & South Jackson

Here's some great video footage of Model Railroad Hobbyist contributing editor Charlie Comstock's 1950s transition era layout. Enjoy!

Very nice, I really enjoyed

Very nice, I really enjoyed that video!

Flourescent lighting

I noticed some flourescent lights reflecting off the rolling stock on some of the up shots.  I think it's probably because Charlie has been making a big deal about some of that in his posts.  At first I was willing to pass it off as an occluded sun, but on one of the boxcars that "sun" looks awfully rectangular.  :D

Better than I've done so don't take anything I say too seriously...

I'm so ashamed about not

I'm so ashamed about not enough grunge on the cars to kill all specular reflection.

Bad dog.

So ashamed

Tunnels on the Bear Creek are much shorter than on the SP, hence the cleaner rolling stock.

Bear Creek and South Jackson

Thanks very much Charlie for the look at your layout, it gives the rest of us, me in particular something to aim at. I hope there will be more views as work progresses.

Thanks again

Very nice video...

Great job on the video Charlie!  The only thing I would have done differently would have been a bit of voice over.  I like a little narration.

Great job on the post and editing Joe!

Your layout is looking top notch Charlie and I really liked some of the angles you shot from as well.  Good job all around but don't be shy.  Talk it up a bit! :o)

Great video!  I have the OPS #3 video of Charlie's layout, and find it to be a great inspiration.  This video is "eye candy".  How about another full OPS video of the layout?

Another ops video

Jim,

Glad you like OSL #3. I'd like to do another ops live video. Maybe after we get the 1st issue out the door there will be time for something like that. Or might be the first 2 issues out the door. By that time there should be some more scenery on the layout.
