Trainfest with more photos

I had no idea I took this many photos at Trainfest....

These are the photos I took with my DSLR - there are going to be quite a few photos that look the same as my cell phone shots.

2018 Trainfest

I've never been to Trainfest before, so when I heard that MRH wasn't going to have a booth this year I begged, whined, and pleaded for Joe to send me solo.

So here I am, with cameras in hand.

New announcements this morning include the revealing of Value Trains USA's first product, the PS-2 4427 in N scale from Athearn, and Rapido will be producing the US standard SW-1200 in HO (including the SP model with full light package) . Yes, Rapido has an SP fan on staff.

2018 National Train Show - Ocala Model Railroaders Historic Preservation Society - HO scale

Without planning it, I saved the best for last.

Why do I say that the Ocala Model Railroaders Historic Preservation Society - HO scale is the best?

Because theirs was the layout that had this plaque on it:

On a sad note, the layout also had this on it:

The Ocala Model Railroaders Historic Preservation Society has two modular layouts, one in N scale and the other in HO. This N scale layout took 2nd Place - Group in the module contest. They were also in Orlando.

2018 National Train Show - MZ&D, Big Bridge Railroad

This railroad probably came closest to my looking at the photos and going, "Who?" They really didn't have any signage, and I'll admit I like signage.

I did find a piece of paper that explained it all. Here is what it said:

The Story of the MZ&D, Big Bridge Railroad

2018 National Train Show - Miami Valley Modular Railroad

The Miami Valley Modular Railroad have been at some recent National Train Shows, at least I know I've seen them before. They actually had one of the larger layouts here.

I believe there were several groups involved, or at least elements of several groups, but only two had billboards:

A new modular layout to me was the Colorado Rail Link, an HO scale layout that seemed to be BNSF oriented, with a focus on modern operations -

This is a club that I've seen twice that I know of - because they won awards in Anaheim in 2008 and Orlando 2017:

2018 National Train Show - HO scale T-Trak modular layout

Frankly, when I looked at these photos I realized that I had no idea who's layout this was. But I see that the T-Trak page on Facebook is noting that they had an HO layout there as well and a namebadge of someone sitting at the layout that I caught in the corner of a photo indeed said T-Trak on it.

So here it is:
