Reorganizing back issues ...

Sorry for the recent posts noise - we're reorganizing the back issues for 2011.

User rating system -or- My thread has 500 reads and no replies!

Every now and then someone shares their work and is surprised (and perhaps disappointed) to see that there have been numerous people reading but nobody replying.  I know, I've been there.  I'm also guilty of not posting, even on a thread which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.  Sometimes, it just seems pointless or generic to post something like "great job," and you wish you could come up with something a little more personal and creative.  Especially when someone before you has just said the same thing.

MRH web host had a hardware failure

The MRH web host had a hardware failure and our website was down from roughly 10:30 PDT to 11:00 PDT.

It's back up now, and hopefully all is well again with the hardware at our web host's site.

Test topic to demo some MRH web site features

Here is a special thread for us to experiment and demo some of the MRH web site's features.

For instance, we want to show how you can post an image much easier now. Here's an image we've posted using the new upload tab:

Wimchester bridge on the HO Siskiyou Line

"returns" being ignored from my HTC phone.

Need help. When posting on the MRH Website via my HTC Windows cellphone I see my "returns" are being ignored. Looks like more work is needed. There are 5 returns in this posting.

Banner ad server upgrade in progress ...

We're upgrading our ad banner server and it's going to take several hours, so for the time being, all the banner ads on our site have been shut off.

They will return tomorrow - hopefully faster and snappier than ever!

New simplified image posting process

Check it out ... we've made image posting simpler:

If you want to manage your personal MRH file space at any time, go to My account on the right and click the File Browser tab. Surprise - there's all the images you uploaded - you can upload more images, make image thumbnails quickly, resize your images, or delete them.
