Release dates - January 2012 MRH

Here are the official release dates for the January 2012 issue of MRH:

MRH on the Kindle Fire

I just wanted to make a few comments about the MRH on Kindle Fire video from the December issue. I think that the ezPDF program you recommended works great where as the links did not work at all in the other program I was using. However, you (Joe) mentioned how annoying it was having the popup verification of every link before following them. You can turn this off. Click the up arrow at the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu, backspace, etc. and chose the menu function. On the far right of the menu that appears, you will see an ... (ellipsis) in orange.

Fair use?

Having tried to write an article for MRH, I'm left with a question.  Like many (most?) of us here, I do a lot of research for my models on line.  The web is without a doubt a superb resource for esoteric information about obscure subjects.  The trouble is, a lot of the information (specifically photographs) is by default the intellectual property of the creator.  That's fine when I want to make a model for myself, and even when I want to sell a model I built, but when I want to write an article and include a prototype photo, what do I do?  For a variety o

MRN demise

Joe ...your comments on the Model Railroad News demise are sadly true...and I'm glad you are around with MRH ...and you are priced right...and if I was a seller I would advertise with you...(have you thought about classified ads)....keep up the good work..Keith Brock

Lew Matt - seriously ill

I'm sorry to report that Lew Matt is seriously ill with liver failure, possibly impacted by cancer. His doctors have not completed their diagnosis despite having performed 14 surgeries on Lew in the past 15 days.

Understandably, Lew is exhausted and depressed. He has no immediate family support and is feeling pretty low.

Time Passes

Today, as my wife and I were starting to decorate the house for Christmas, I became somewhat depressed by the fact that time is passing way to fast. Now that we are in our 70's, it seems that Christmas comes about every 6 months instead of every 12 months.  As i said, just thinking about the rapid passage of time was making me feel a bit depressed until I thought of something that immediately snapped me out of my doldrums.

MRH magazine comes faster now!!!!!!!
