Switching Towers never Die, some become alcoholics
Switching Towers never Die, some become alcoholics
What is that old saying about old solders.... :)

Brick Factory, brick making
A number of years ago I saw this image in an older magazine, and it so inspired me that I knew I had to make all efforts to include something like this on my new layout
This was my initial efforts to put that scene on my plan.

Corner clamp
What suggestions do you all have for a good corner clamp for holding structure corners square and tight while glue dries?

I'm curious what everyone thinks... Tyco AHM Bachmann trusses
Gang,
Please let me hear your opinions on this quick and dirty bridge project. I'm a big boy... If you think this is unprototypical or you wouldn't be caught dead with it on your layout, tell me that. It's not for my layout, remember my buddy that I am helping? Well, he needed access to an industrial area. so I went through his boxes of stuff he is beginning to save and found these old Tyco/AHM/Bachmann trusses from old train sets.
Stripwood Storage Idea
A recent article in Model Railroad Hobbyist got me thinking about my own disorganized system of storing strip wood conveniently. The article went on to show a beautifully planned and executed storage rack, and I posted a comment some might have characterized as "snarky" about the time and effort it took to create the storage rack (taking time away from the real hobby) and the efficiency of use of the desktop/countertop space required for the horizontal storage rack. Mea culpa! if anyone viewed my comments that way. My bad.
Anyone model a cell tower?
Has anyone scratch built a cell tower? I want to add one to my HO town of Sleepy Hollow. I can't find the old BLMA kits, and the European models don't look right although they could provide a starting point. Any tips or photos would be appreciated. Thanks

Thread for rigging on coaling towers
I would like to know what anybody is using to do the rigging on coaling tower coal chutes. The thread supplied by Walthers is way to fuzzy and also to heavy to fit into the holes for it.
