Steel sheathed grain elevator

I am in the process of assembling a Cornerstone Steel Sheathed Grain Elevator. The difficulty that I am having is deciding the color to paint the structure for the location and time era that I am modeling. The time era ra is the late 1950’s and the location is the Midwest (Indiana). I have read where some owners left it the natural sheet metal color, whereas other would paint their structures (red, white, beige). I would like to hear various opinions as to what color would be the most prototypical for the time era and location that I am modeling.

Log House

I scratch built a log house. I made it using some sticks, plaster, junk mail, tin foil and a few other odds and ends.

Foam Cutting Tool

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good "sturdy" foam cutter? I bought one from a hobby store, but after one or two cuts, the hot wire was noticeably bending and it almost felt like it would break.

Thanks,

Grampy

Old Race Cars In An Abonded Barn

I scratch built the building out of plaster, sticks, and junk mail. The vehicles are modified from old models that are more like toys.

1948 Dave-Craft Custom Deluxe Highway Clipper

Here's my 1948 Dave-Craft Custom Deluxe Highway Clipper. Everything from the hood back in scratch built. It's 1:87 scale.

Cutting build-up structures

I have bought some already finished buildings, which I intend to use near the backdrop. Both side are "fronts"

I want to cut these buildings in half to have a street twice as long. Has anybody here done that before? What kind of saw shall I use? Would it make sense to strengthen the cutting lines to get a clear cut?

Zephyrus

This building was originally part of the Davetown Toothpick Factory. The factory was opened in the early the 19th century and closed in 1968. It was destroyed by fire in 1970. The property and building sat abandoned for decades until Earl and Judy Schmutz purchased the building and surrounding property in 2017.

Dave's Saucer City

Just an average anti-gravity electro-magnetic hovercraft dealership.

Pirate's Cove

Here's a diorama I built a while ago. The ship isn't exactly HO scale, but kinda close.
