Zip Texturing

Hi all,

I wonder why I have white spots after second layer? I wasn't satisfied with some spots on the surface after first layer, so I sprinkled again and all those spots are white now. I tried again and nothing changed. I have no idea what goes wrong. First layer is ok, second isn't. I use the same mixture of Zip Texturing. The spots are whiter as the photo shows.

Thanks,

Jure, Slovenia

Dirt Roads

Hi All;

I'm going to be needing to build some dirt roads for my railway and I'm wondering what methods work the best for this.  I'm sure there are different methods, and I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

TAG

Has anyone else had this happen with Scenic Express products?

Please notice in the photo that certain trees have turned pinkish, despite the fact that the scenery material is not very old. Is there any way to prevent this? The product I used was Scenic Express' "Autumn Glory blend". The Woodland Scenics fall colors have kept their nature-like colors.

Help

I seem to recall a thread on using foam core board to create streets/highways. Have searched, but can't seem to find it. Can anyone provide the link please.

Thanks

Matte Madium vs White Glue

Hello,

I wonder which material is better for fiksing ballast and other ground material - white glue or matte medium? What is your experience, what do you suggest?

Thank you,

Double Sided Casting

OK, I have created and cast many a single sided mold in rubber, RTV and other molds using things from casting resin to plaster to water putty.  The time however has came to take this to the next level. I need to figure out how to do double sided castings and molds. I can/will start simple but with the hopes of getting more complicated.

The question is where can I learn more about this?

Power Station / Substation Questions

I have a couple of questions regarding modeling an HO power station.

  1. I have a Walthers Northern Light & Power Building.  I would like to have this connect to power lines and then to a substation.  I can’t find any info on how the power lines connect to the building.  Do they connect to the roof, the side of the building, or come out of the ground next to the building?
