I've got the wrong sound decoder for the Atlas GP38 blues!

I've acquired a couple of Atlas 2016 Master DCC-ready Maryland Midland GP-38's.  I had decided to standardize on TCS Wow-sound decoders since they have worked so well for me in the past and keeping all decoders from the same company is a good idea.  And I think Keep-alives are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Insulating feeder wire on Frog of Peco Turnout

Do I need to insulate the feeder wire that comes from the frog of my Peco turnout? I am gong to hook it up to a frog juicer. On My last layout I replaced that frog feeder with my own, but If i don't have to, I would just the same leave it. I think if I need to insulate it, it might be easier to just get rid of it and solder my own feeder wire.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Installing StayAlive/KeepAlive in a LokSound 5 DCC decoder

I've searched the internet, can't find a picture or diagram of where to connect a currentkeeper to a LokSound 5 DCC decoder.   I make my own StayAlives and acquired a loco with this decoder.  I've done these installs in other decoders without the JST 2 pin plug but this is a first for me with a LS 5.

I 've looked at the sbs4dcc.com site but it only shows 3.5 and 4.0 installs, same think for Marcus Ammann site at members.optusnet.com

double cross.

who makes the shortest double slip/cross turnout.  in ho code 83 rail?

me: i am using peco code 83 rail. there #5’s off the main. and there # 6’s on the main. trying to keep the main at a 27 in min rad for the curves. in the yard tighter. ind also #5 turnouts.

i am wanting to build in a escape track in my yard. two tracks really, with access into the loco facility's.  ( thus the need).

need some speaker help

Ok I have a tsunami 2 diesel sound decoder.  It says 8 ohms on it.  I have a 32 ohm set of speakers from soundtraxx.  Hooking one up sounds like crap.  crackles and what not.  I put another unknown ohm speaker in with it and it sounded slightly better but too quiet.

ESU help!

Hello everyone, I seem to be in need of some help. I will outline the situation as best as I can.

New to ESU - what is this?

I have an ESU Loksound5 decoder that I want to plug into an existing DCC-ready loco. I've installed other decoders including SoundTraxx and mostly QSI Titans. There's what looks like a chip or active component in the package, but I have no idea what it is. Now I'm an engineer, so ordinarily I don't Read The Fine Manuals (I guess it's an informal guild rule?), but in this case I certainly did.

Resetting Soundtraxx mobile decoder

I have a Soundtraxx Mobile Decoder MC2H104P9 in an Athearn RTR SW1500.  It along with a sister unit ran fine for months, both as a consist and as individual units.

Any opinions on MRC Prodigy Express2?

I will preface this by saying that I've done some reading on this.  Much of what I've read reference the original Prodigy Express, which has some differences with the newer version.
