ESU LokSound V5

Attempting to program a 21 Pnem Version of the V5 using the latest Lok Programmer. I have downloaded the manual, but I find it cryptic at best. I found the previous versions fairly straight forward and logical. The new version is not.

What am I missing or did I download the non-USA version in error?

DCC++EX with Aurduino CS--trying to configure servos for turnouts

Hello to all,

I'm more of a reader than a poster but I am stumped and probably way over my head but, here goes:

I have one Aurduino MEGA with a L298P motor shield as my command station which is running DCC++EX 3.1 through Decoder Pro (I'm just starting to wade into Panel Pro) which runs beautifully on my Mac.  I've added a second MEGA with a 5v powered sensor shield which I have configured as my DCC2 configuration in JMRI.

New Peco Code 70 Turnouts-First Look

The new Peco Unifrog Code 70 left and right turnouts arrived last week, but I was able to unbox and set them on a temporary 2 X 6 test layout until yesterday. None of the track is fastened down.

This is the right hand, the left is behind it.  trackage at foot of turnout is ME Code 70  with ME rail joiners. First track to left is Peco Code 70 and behind that Peco Code 83.

Advice on Isolating track for AR1 installation and wiring

Hello Model Railroaders

I'm looking for some advice regarding my attached layout. I have a WYE and a Loop (Circled in Blue) in the attached pic. I have indicated where one isolator is located with the 2 red lines cutting the track. Given this design I don't know where the other isolators should go?

Also I want to know if I need to install 2 AR1's and where they should be located?

Recommendations for HO scale operating switch stands?

I need two. My harbor module has two Peco code 83 turnouts on it that I flip the points by hand. I'd like to have switch stands with indicator targets on each one. The stand itself doesn't have to operate the points, it can, but what I basically want is the target to change when I flip the spring loaded points by hand. I know several manufacturers including Caboose, Proto87 stores and RIx  advertise stands but I have no experience with any of them so I need advice.

Speed matching

Is there an easier way to speed match? What have is two different decoders  and trying to match them up in a consist. I’m using an older super chief with a dsc 100

How do you keep track of DCC consist addresses?

As a steam modeler I use consists only rarely. If you have just one or two consists, it is easy enough to remember which consist has which (short) address.

We're now getting to the point that other people are bringing diesel lashups around, and when there are 10 or 15 consists, it's essentially impossible to remember which one is which. I can't be the only one that can't remember consist-to-address mappings in my head, and anyway even if I could, isn't this precisely what computers are really good at?

Broadway Limited programming

I’m having a problem programming two different Broadway Limited locomotives. I use a raspberry pie Sprog to program and the locomotives are both steam, mine a 2-8-2 and a friends 2-8-8-4. On my locomotive it will program to do everything except go in reverse. On a friend‘s Locomotive it will do all the sounds but will not respond to a throttle. I intend to replace the Decoders in both of my Broadway Limited locomotives bad for my friend it would be nice to get his working. Any ideas or special techniques for programming Broadway Limited locomotives? Thanks for any help.
