Removing Lettering
Wed, 2009-04-08 08:02 — jarhead
I need suggestions on removing lettering from a boxcar. I bought an On30 boxcar from Accucraft and I wanted to remove just the RGS letter to replace it with the home road name. I am planning to leave the rest of the lettering on the car. Any suggestions what is the easiest way to remove it ?
Thanks

It was paint removal, but
It was lettering that was being removed so maybe it is applicable to this instance too?
Here is a link to the thread. You may find some good information there too.
Edit: I see Dave posted the link too, oops.
Thanks
Thanks, I will try it tonight and will report back.

Rubbing Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol did the trick with Q-Tips and a little elbow grease. I also used an Exacto knife to scrape it off. It worked out fine! Thanks for the tips !!!
