You could do no wrong if you joined the PRRT&HS. The society has several discussion webs going. I am a Lines West to the Middle division guy so can not help with you cantenary questions. The PRR Fax group is free to join and you will be moderated at first but is very active. http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/PRR/?yguid=270163699
I believe that the PRR electrics went as far as Harrisburg PA where they changed from electric power to steam / diesel. The also changed in New Jersey at a place called Manhattan Transfer.
The reason I am asking is that I am into Z-scale 1:220. But not much space. So I thought I do an engine changing point: Maerklin has in 1:220 the famous GG1 and PRR diesels; steamers, too, by way off the famous PRR steam engines! Thus electrics and diesels would be the name of the game - and no cars.
But I would need a time table or such for planning. Like how many freights and passenger trains per day each direction? And what types? Specials and fast ones, normal passengers and locals, freights too - fast ones, drags, and so on.

Hi,
I am new here and like to say a big "Hello" to all readers and bloggers.
Now my questions: in what stations of the Pennsylvania railroad did they change from electrics ( like the GG 1 ) to Steam/diesel or vice versa?
I now of the state of New Jersey - but which stations? And only there??
Regards
