Here is another option for the Spiral Tunnels being considered.  This arrangement completely alters a section that has 4 towns/locations as switching options.  The towns have some scenic value but have never been of great interest for switching moves.  Most folks want to run a longer train a longer way around the layout.

Field would be a combining of the two St J yards into single track around the whole of the laundry room...presents Nose Tunnel in correct perspective (correct me if I'm wrong here).....as with the Snow Shed...gives good separation of tunnels.....the last scene of the train at the top of the grade would be closest to the scenic representation in the photos contributed....Garage scene could become Lake Louise....David's Siding/Cookieville becomes incorporated into a 4-5 through track yard....that yard could be a standing switch job assigned....lots and lots of track work.......lots to consider.

Question:  The internet pictures show a passing siding somewhere on the hill.  Is it between the two Spiral Tunnels?  above both?  below?  Would intend to include it....any thoughts?
