Details West

Does anyone know what the status of Details West is? Recently I haven't been able to access the website, and as of yesterday the name no longer returns a hit from Google. I remember there being a good article about detailing SD-9E's.
Best,
Dan

Hope they are still up and running, DW is probably my favorite details source.
Huh!
Just browsed thru there website for the first time about 10 days ago. Can find dealers for them, but they seem to no longer exist. They have a lot of cool stuff, sure would be a shame to loose them from the hobby.

There's a lot of Details West details in modeler's collections so one could likely find what they need on ebay. I've got some SP diesel details that I've had for decades. In the old days that was about the only way to get SP lights and other details but now days they sell models with SP details already installed which saves a lot of work :>) .......DaveB

i thought
I thought I heard the line was bought by Bowser.
Just wondering
Just wondering why they no longer have a website. I have always bought there parts at the LHS, and shouldn't have that problem as long as they are still in business. The way I see it, it's not that I Have to detail myself, but I GET to. It's just something I have always enjoyed. So I guess I'm just questioning if they just shut down the website? St down altogether? Sold out to Bowser?

If they sold out
Then it would be reasonable that they would shut down their website and let the Bowser folks worry about that. It would be a shame to see them go, so I hope someone has some definitive information on the status of DW parts.

Details West has actually
Details West has actually been pumping out a lot of parts that have been on backorder for a while now. I was actually hearing that Detail Associates was the on in financial trouble.
A-line has the DW parts list online..

Might be worthwhile checking with them. I know DA has been a little tough to get ahold of, but DW hasn't been an issue.
