Nice Photo

Tell us more about the layout.

Good in many ways...

I really like the photo because it represents great model railroading in so many ways.

I like the scene because it is a finished scene.  No plywood visible, well ballasted track, etc.  It may be (though I doubt it.) the only finished scene on the railroad but you took the time to finish this area.  Something I wish more people did.  They build a plywood empire to run trains and never complete any of it.  I find that working all of the various trades involved when building a layout keeps you interested in the project.

The signal tells me you enjoy doing not only good track work, rolling stock, and scenery, but electrical controls as well.

The loco and cars are location and period correct, and keep with a theme.  The detail in weathering and the loads in the cars are great.

Clutter along the right of way lends credibility to the scene.

Your backdrop defines the area you are modeling but does not draw the eye to it.  This is very important and not discussed enough.  Highly detailed backdrops often detract from a scene by drawing the eye away from the features being modeled.

Very nice work.  We would like to see more.

Excellent as always!

Good to see you're posting photos of your models on the MRH blog. Maybe you can eventually get an article published in the MRH ezine? I'd love to see you layout in addition to your models.

Talk to you later,

Joe

Great Photo

This is great stuff - As others have said, some background to the  layout would be most welcome.
