The industry pic with the lift reminded me of some of what forklifts can do. One operator at my job (retail) skewered the bottom pallet of as stack of driveway sealer. The whole thing collapsed, spilling 45 5 gallon buckets of the stuff. That stain lasted pretty much forever.
I hear you forklift drivers out there. I am an experienced forklift driver as well. All I can tell you is that I'm modeling a fairly new industry here. I know of the abuse & wear of which you speak. I'm not really modeling that here. The pylons are meant to be the ones that are covered with the plastic sleave. I here you though, and thanks.
Working on the Atlas factory this week. Paint & windows/doors help a lot. Now to add a roof, glass, steps, exhaust fans for those empty spots, planting the building in mud... Updates later...
While I was visiting Weyauwega Wisconsin, I noticed a depot foundation between the tracks. Perhaps it is the history buff in me that felt compelled to include a model of it. At the time I visited, there were items such as this scattered about.
I got the brick color a bit too red, but weathering helped dull it down.
Just a fun, atypical item to include along the right of way.

Well Done
Layout looks well done. I like the way you modeled the marshy area.
Have you started any operations on the layout.
