Rechargable 9v batteries

It was my question on the MRH forum that got published for ths Q-A-T column! I had to give it a 5! Anyway, I am using the Powerx batteries and charger. (You can get a smaller - 4 position - charger). I only have 2 throttles and have 4 batteries. They do seem to hold up well.

I have two each of 230 ma and 300 ma batteries. I have not seen any difference in the performance of either. But I have not tried to do any kind of controlled testing.

I think it is cool that MRH uses the forum to find questions, answers, tips, and pictures. Articles too! It gives a lot of people greater investment in the whole package.

Ken -

That's exactly why I got into PowerEx when I owned Litchfield Station!

PowerEX

I have two of the PowerEx 4 position chargers and use their 9.4V batteries, and they work great.

I have multiple Digitrax throttles (DT100R, DT300R, DT402D and UT4D).  The PowerEx charger and batteries were recommended by members of the Digitrax users group.  As stated in the article when the power in Digitrax throttles drops to about 7 volts, they loose contact with the Digitrax system.
