First time scratch building a loco.

So I'm new here.  Just Moved recently, dragging out my old HO trainset stuff from decades ago.  I'm into Milwaukee Road, especially lines west, as my father worked as an electronic maintainer.  Moved to Deer lodge, Montana in 1974.  Saw the last years of electric locos-little joes and box cabs-and survived the abandonment in 1980.

I'm slowly starting to resurrect my train layout.  I'm wanting to loosely base it on the WSS&YP that connected with the MILW at Ringling, and ran north to White Sulphur Springs.
