Smyrna Spur - Power

This weekend, when my parents came out from Kansas for a visit, my dad and I headed on down to the basement to take on the task of wiring - a task that was proving to be a bit too daunting for me to start solo.  When we started on Friday afternoon, I hadn't run a single wire or soldered a single feeder, but on Saturday evening after dinner, I ran my first "mini ops session".

Smyrna Spur - Milestones

It's been about two months since my first update, but this afternoon's work session leaves me with a good sense of accomplishment.  Overall, I'm pleased with the results, although there are a few spots with minor workmanship issues.

Smyrna Spur - An Introduction

First, an introduction of myself: you can call me Brock (or Hey You, if you prefer).  I've been reading here regularly, but commenting little.  Over the last few months, I've been getting back into model railroading for the first time since my early teens, when I had a Ye Olde 4x8 that my dad built for me.  Unfortunately, that got sold during a move, and I just never got back into building something to replace it.  That is now changing.
