I've been piecing together a quiltwork of what will someday become my Great Arizona Railroad adventure - if I do indeed decide to go down that road when I get to the fork!

And so here is the first segment that has recieved serious attention, enough so that now a complete layout concept has been completed.

At this point I have pretty well beaten up the horse; we're not much different now from who we were long ago, and many of the arguements then are still arguments now.  Heck, I just saw an article lamblasting the idea of scale operating couples, placing the dichotomy that couplers will have to be either larger and functional or to scale and dummy.  And I saw another calling for a need for remote operating couplers and arguing against those who prefer to manually do it because that's how the prototypes do it!  I almost shudder to think how similar these

We get a lot of questions across the webspace from people just starting their first railroad due to the aquisition of spacious quarters or pleas for help halfway through an expensive and time consuming ordeal that will end in what will be a rather painful chainsaw railroad.  I've been trying to find answers for the intermediate person who is beyond the forest stage but not yet picking out the trees.  I've now returned to the article that truley provides a firm footing for every man, woman and child to pursue this hobby.  Yes, I said pursue the hobby - not JUST build that
