ALASKA RAILROAD
I LOVE these new Bowser C430's with the sound, so being that none of the boys up here have any ALCO experience, I had to dip the hook in the water....Maybe if the Alaska Railroad had purchased 425's & 430's instead of EMD, Alco would have been in better shape.....this is what they may have looked like....
Meanwhile....down in the Lehigh Gorge...
It's 1968...and the Lehigh is trying out a new Alco 430 to replace it's aging 420's....
BUFFALO DIVISION - Snow equipment headed for storage....
It's been a light winter. The plow still needs work for next year, but is ready to go away because of more pressing needs. I think Erie is done dumping her "Lake Effect" for the year. "Push me - shove you."
A mixed bag this morning....CONRAIL NEVER HAPPENED....
Ran three units on the head pin of a pig this morning.....
Dash Nine, SD60, SD70M....
.
The Buffalo Division gets visitors....
OK. Many thanks to others here on the forum for the assistance....we'll try these again.
A good friend of mine has made me realize that I am not attending my hobby like I should, and am missing out on a few things. So, I put the FRA, my grip, and my Hi-Vis aside to spend some time in the Man-Cave, and run the Division like the railroad world was before the lawyers and bean-counters took over pulling pins & calling hitches.
