October Op Session at Christmas Tree Lane's Eastern California
We are working hard to get basic scenery done on the Inside Gateway layout section in time for the holidays. But we took time out for this month's running session and we again had a great mix of eras and consists!

August 2018 running video - Let's run some trains!
A lot of different eras and types of trains represented at the August 2018 op session running the layout(s). Track work is done on the Inside Gateway mainline section. I hope to complete scenery (basic not hyper-detailed) in time for the holiday open house this December. Some of the guys got to run the narrow gauge too. Enjoy!
July 2018 running video - Let's run some trains!
We had a great time at the July 2018 op session running the layout(s). Track work is almost done on the Inside Gateway section which will hopefully be fully operational for the August Op. We also had a literal blast for the 4th of July, a wood chopping contest, and some of the guys got to run the narrow gauge too. Enjoy!
June 2018 running video - Let's run some trains!
The guys brought some beautifully detailed and weathered models to the layout. Here are some highlights.
Eastern California V2.0 Update #6
Progress on version 2.0 of our Eastern California layout has continued and we are now on to the second phase, or the middle portion of the run from San Diego to Seattle. Horseshoe & Cottonwood SPNG Cab Ride
I don't think this cab ride got posted here as I have been spending too much time on that evil social network's HO Scale group. We finally got around to recording (and editing for an oops or two) a ride across the entire layout in April. At one point the operator got lost (okay more than once) and we edited out one instance where the camera actually got stuck and wouldn't get through a snow shed! But with the wonders of editing, here is a trip back in time to August 1911 on the SPNG!
Building Project for the Weekend
Hot weather this past weekend prevented work on the layout, so being stuck inside I decided to cross off one of the scratch building projects that's on the to-do list.
The prototype is a Fry's Electronics store in Burbank, California, visible right from the main line. Here are some reference shots:
Eastern California V2.0 Update #5
Time for a big update!
It's like a train just pulled into my back yard!
Well not exactly, it's just the first outdoor multi-deck TOMA module!
Eastern California V2.0 Update #4
Update video! The video was recorded a couple weeks ago and progress is steady on Phase II.
(Video posted in first comment.)
Enjoy!

Eastern California V2.0 Update #3
A much bigger update is in the works but for now just looking for some quick feedback on this panel. It crams a lot in a little space mainly due to a better fit at the panel location versus a larger panel.
