SP&S Deschutes Free-mo Module Scenery
I have been working on my module pretty regularly and I have finally got the wiring completed so the module now has power!!
I would shoot a video of a train going across, but the module is a little short and pretty high up. Instead I grab a couple of shots of one of my cars with interior lighting...

Plugging away on the SP&S
I have just been plugging away at my trackwork on the old SP&S. So far I have completed most of the track from the Brooks Scanlon mill all the way to the mainline. I am still needing to put in the runaround track and scale house track.
I know it will probbaly slow down my productivity on the rest of the layout, but I have run out of track and am really wanting to do some scenery. I have already started on a few structures for one corner of the layout so i figure I will go ahead and do some scenery stuff to scratch my itch.
Here are a few photos:
A productive weekend!!!
With some time this weekend I have been very productive...
My first thing was to work on a couple of articles for MRH...
It between glue and paint drying I worked on my layout. Which included hanging the last of my lights, painting the benchwork top and even laying down some flex track. I will be adding some CVMW ties to the Brooks-Scanlon loading track tomorow and may even get hings ready for the Code 83 rail.
More progress on the underpass....
Well I was going to take more pictures as I went but I kind of got on a roll....

Roadbed
Got my subroadbed finished and have moved onto laying down my cork roadbed. I have laid out some track just to see how it will look, also the big white sheets are foundations for my depot and warehouse.

Subroadbed on the SP&S shelf layout
With work progressing slowly I have been able to start the subroadbed which really starts to make the railroad start to come to life. I hope that I can quickly finish the subroadbed and move on to the cork roadbed.

Bridging the gap...to get started
While I work on the backdrop I have decided to start a little project in order to be ready for the subroadbed. I have a three track underpass that will be in the middle of a curve that I need to have done so everything else lines up, I hope. Here is a mock up of the first bridge of the underpass:

A backbone for a backdrop..
A quick trip to the big box hardware store and some time in the basement resulted in this disater in progress. PLeae focus your attention to the stylish backdrop and not the clutter
A new layout for a new year...
After thinking I was oing to move I began to pack my room and take down my layout. I have since decided to stay put and have taken the opportunity to build a new layout. I will get to save my backdrop and expand it, which I am looking froward to. I have the basic benchwork up and my next plan of attack is add some supports then hang the hardboard for the backdrop.
Here are some photos of my progress to date:
A whole passenger train wrapped up in one......
Here is my latest aquisition from North Bank Lines imports, a brass SP&S combine used on the Oregon trunk. There were two of these cars used on the line, but I was only able to afford one...
I still need to detail the interior and add some weathering....
