2009 NMRA Convention Clinic - Along the Boston & Albany - Mike Tylick
I've been admiring Mike Tylick's work for many years. It was real treat to finally meet him and view his fascinating Along the Boston and Albany clinic at the NMRA Hartford National convention.
The Boston & Albany was one of America's original railroads chartered in 1832 as the Boston & Worcester. It was completed in 1835 (only 5 years after the B&O). Mike tells us of the present and past of the B&A trackage from Boston through Worcester and on to Albany. Sadly, the B&A is long gone but its routes live on, operated through the years by the New York Central, Conrail, and now CSX.
Mike presents a plethora of information mixed with suggestions on how to model the Boston & Albany. This clinic is illustrated with 110+ photos shot by Jim Tylick (Mike's son).
Two track maps are provided on this page to make it easier to follow along as Mike talks about stations and locations.
