TrainMasters TV website maintenance: DONE
Tonight at 10pm, the TrainMasters TV site will undergo maintenance while moving to a new hosting provider.
You should be able to still watch videos on the site, but we will turn off new memberships until the transfer is complete 24 hours later (evening of December 25th).
By Monday, December 26th, the site should be fully functional on our new server, complete with the ability to once again sign up or extend your membership.
TMTV mail server hacked
Many of you may recall the TMTV server went down last weekend with a Bluehost issue. Well, it turns out we've found the root cause - our Bluehost email server was hacked and used to send 10,000 porn spam emails.
TMTV down again - more Bluehost fun - UPDATE: BACK UP
TrainMasters TV is down again, this time because the server ran out of disk space.
Been on hold for over an hour so far with Bluehost ... sheesh. No idea when it will be back up.
Bluehost totally sucks now, they used to be so good. Will be moving off Bluehost first thing next week.
What a total pain ...
TMTV TOMA Project layout progress sneak peek
Starting in January on TrainMasters TV, the new TOMA Project Layout series!
The layout is coming along nicely and we will have it on display in our booth at the Amherst Show this coming January. We're modeling the modern day Vermont Railway, and it's turning out to be a total blast.
Here's a few sneak peeks ... these scenes are not finished, but they're taking shape!
TMTV coming attractions - Fall 2016
Here's what's coming to TrainMasters TV over the next several months. We're now starting our winter promotion, so this is a good time to become a member. With all the videos out there now, a one year membership is only 17 cents a video!
TMTV DNS Error
For the past couple of days, when i try to visit the TMTV site, i get a DNS Server address not found. I have tried to access the site via MS Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. When i google the site, it gives me a cached page from 10-12-16. I have tried to access from 3 different computers and get the same error on all of the systems, One is W7, one is W8.1 and the last is W10.
Any ideas what might be causing this problem. I have not found any other sites i usually visit that have this same error.
Backdrop for my switching layout
After watching TMTV's series on painting backdrops with Chris Lyon, I gathered materials and gave it a shot. For reference, my switching layout is N scale, five foot long by 18 inches wide, and the backdrop is 1/8" masonite that rises 12" above the foam.
