2018 National Train Show - Miami Valley Modular Railroad
The Miami Valley Modular Railroad have been at some recent National Train Shows, at least I know I've seen them before. They actually had one of the larger layouts here.
2018 National Train Show - Free-moN layout
I believe there were several groups involved, or at least elements of several groups, but only two had billboards:
2018 National Train Show - HO scale Colorado Rail Link
A new modular layout to me was the Colorado Rail Link, an HO scale layout that seemed to be BNSF oriented, with a focus on modern operations -
2018 National Train Show - HO scale Gulf Western Modular RR Society
This is a club that I've seen twice that I know of - because they won awards in Anaheim in 2008 and Orlando 2017:
2018 National Train Show - HO scale T-Trak modular layout
Frankly, when I looked at these photos I realized that I had no idea who's layout this was. But I see that the T-Trak page on Facebook is noting that they had an HO layout there as well and a namebadge of someone sitting at the layout that I caught in the corner of a photo indeed said T-Trak on it.
So here it is:
2018 National Train Show - the T-Trak layout
By now I expect that many people in the hobby have heard of the record setting T-Trak layout at Kansas City. According to the layout's Facebook account, there were 340 modules of varied sizes, the equivalent of 732 single T-Trak modules. The mainline run was 28.4 scale miles.
2018 National Train Show - Northeast Kansas Railroaders
A nice little HO scale modular layout -
2018 National Train Show - HO scale Free-mo layout
This was one of the really big layouts at the National Train Show this year (the T-Trak, N-Trak, and Free-moN being the others). Three clubs had signs there, Missouri Valley Free-mo, OK Free-mo, and Southern Kansas Free-mo. I expect there were additional participants as well. I believe I heard there were 63 modules involved.
2018 National Train Show - Wisconsin and Michigan Model Railroad
This is another repeat visitor to the National Train Show - it's a slam dunk I saw it in Grand Rapids, and it was probably in Cleveland too. I'd have to check all my prior posts to see if I've seen it elsewhere:
Note: There will be more photos, I just have to take a break from posting for a bit.
2018 National Train Show - Green Valley Baptist Church Modular Layout
I attend a church of about 800 people, give or take, and I know of no other model railroaders there. That this church supports an entire modular layout group is pretty impressive!
One series of modules, built by Craig Adams and created as an amusement park, took the Judges Award as well -
