We begin this month’s report with a preview look at an 85-foot trash flat car coming from Atlas Model Railroad Company (www.atlasrr.com) next April.Priced at $25, the Trainman series HO scale model will be available decorated for Allied Waste, ECDC Environmental, East Carbon-DSEX, General American and Joseph Transportation. An undecorated version will be available at $20.

Atlas plans to deliver this N scale model of a Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66 Train Master next March. The release will include some renumbered as well as new paint schemes on the road diesel FM built in the early 1950s. In addition to the Canadian Pacific unit shown here, Atlas will deliver ready-to-run models decorated for Jersey Central (green with gold stripes), Reading (green with gold lettering), Lackawanna (grey, maroon and yellow), Erie Lackawanna (DL&W scheme in gray, maroon and yellow), Pennsylvania (dark green with gold lettering), Pennsylvania (dark green with small red Keystone), Norfolk & Western (black with yellow lettering and half-moon logo), and Wabash (blue with yellow deck stripe and lettering). DCC equipped versions will have an MSRP of $150 with DCC-ready units listed at $115.
