Good info

Nice to hear about LED shop lights. Last time I looked into it about 2 years ago the bulbs were over $100 each and required some sort of modification to the fixture.

I will be taking a look at the turnout fixtures too.

Good eye.

Yea, glued the track down about 3 weeks ago. Simple season changes cause interesting changes to our layouts.

LED replacement bulbs

As noted on other posts there are several types of LED bulbs for replacing florescent bulbs. Some are plug and play, some listed as plugin compatible do not work with all ballasts and some still require rewiring of the fixture. Ken's replacement bulbs are were obviously compatible with his ballast. I have some Philips bulbs which will work with some electronic ballasts, but for the garage I opted for the cheaper (but just as bright) bulbs which required rewiring the fixtures ( See Video).

If you are thinking about switching to LEDs verify the type(s) of ballasts (most run on electronic T8 instant-start or programmed start ballasts) in your fixtures, and read the bulb package very carefully before buying.

ps. Thanks for fixing the video link.

The above is my work in process of the same dealership.  It has LED lights for the outside sign.

Thanks and I DO enjoy your " What's New " section...

LED bulbs

Check your local Lowes store. I got Utilitec 4 foot LED lamps that are direct replacements for T-8 fluorescents on clearance for $9.98 each. They worked in my 2 lamp shop lights over my layout when some others that I tried wouldn't.

Station

That's a wonderful old station in the drone footage.  How about giving us a 360 degree fly around of the station and telling us the name?

Great as always!

Great details as always.

Yes, identify location for the drone shots.  This is a great feature.

Also enjoyed the wood kit - quick tips to make building easier.
