How do I search the website for a certain topic?
Short answer: Use the MRH site search on the upper right. Just search like you would on Google, except the search goes against only the MRH website.
Long answer: You can use the search at the upper right of the MRH website, as shown here:
Just type your topic of interest in the box, like "DCC reverse loop" to find posts about DCC reverse loop wiring, and press the Search button:
The site search opens up a new Google search browser tab and returns links to all the pages it could find on the MRH site with something about DCC reverse loops. Notice in this case there are over 100 pages and they come back with Google's usual snappy search speed:
Site search defaults to sorting the links by its best guess as to relevance, with the most relevant pages listed first. Sometimes, that's not what you want - if you prefer to filter the results by date instead, select (1) Tools and then select the date range you want (2). In the example shown below, we want results from the last TWO years, so we select the Custom range ... option:
In the popup, we enter a from date that's two years ago and enter a to date that's today's date:
And here's the same search results (DCC reverse loop), only this time from the last two years, with the most recently added pages listed at the top. Notice the list is sorted by relevance. We prefer sorted by date, so we select that from the drop down:
And there we go! Seach results for our DCC reverse loop search term, filtered to results from the last two years and sorted by date, with the most recent entries at the top of the list:
