2. Identification of Sponsor(s)
This $1000 online shopping spree giveaway is being conducted by Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine and its publisher, Model-Trains-Video.com.

3. Eligibility Requirements
You must be at least 13 years of age to participate in this free drawing. Employees and staff of Model-Trains-Video.com and Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine, employees and staff of our sponsors and advertisers, and members of the household of these entities are excluded from participation.

4. How To Play
To participate, you simply need to register as a subscriber on this web site. You can also call our toll free number, 1-800-920-6020 to enter.

5. Duration
This drawing closes as of August 31, 2008 at 2 pm Pacific time.

6. Prizes
The prize is $1000 that can be spent at any of our sponsors’ web sites and at any other online model railroading vendor web sites that we specify. The prize is not simply cash – it is a reimbursement for online orders placed at the online ecommerce web sites as outlined above. You must forward a copy of your online order receipt from one of the designated vendors to us, and we will issue an immediate credit against your credit card, debit card, or Paypal account used for the transaction.

7. Odds of Winning
The odds of winning are roughly one out of 2600, since that’s the number of subscribers we expect to have as of August 31, 2008.

8. Selection and Notification of Winner
The winner will be: (a) selected via a random drawing at 2 pm, Pacific time, August 31, 2008, (b) and will be notified via email; (c) anyone who wishes may contact us via this web site’s contact form and request a list of past contest winners. You can also call our toll free number, 1-800-920-6020 and request a copy of these contest rules or a list of past contest winners at any time.

We will also randomly select a runner-up winner when doing the drawing, and if the primary winner does not respond to us either by email or by calling our toll free number, 1-800-920-6020 within one week (168 hours from the time of the drawing), then the primary winner defaults the prize and the runner up automatically becomes the winner instead.

9. Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability
Winners must respond with an affirmative to an affidavit that they meet all of the eligibility requirements set forth in these rules and they absolve Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine and Model-Trains-Video.com of all liability.
