Hello Everyone,

Layout Room Officialy Complete.

The layout room that I have been working on, seems like forever, is finally finished. I finished up all of the final touch-ups this evening. I still haven't taken any photos yet. I'm not too sure that if I did that everyone can see what it looks like because it is small by alot of peoples standards. Still, I'm very happy to have the space and am very pleased that it is finally complete. I will be starting benchwork next weekend as I haven't completely blown this months budget yet. I figure that I'll be able to purchase all of the needed lumber for my benchwork.

Layout room closer to completion

Been working on the new train room for 3 weeks now and I am very close to completion. After working every weekend and morning before I go to work I have a very nice room for my railroad. All of the framing, wiring, room lighting, sheetrock, mud and tape, painting and flooring are done. I finished the laminate flooring yesterday morning and for cheapo stuff it looks really nice. There are still some minor details to add though.

Layout room close to completion

The new layout room that I have been planning and talking about is now a reality. Over the Labor Day weekend I "Labored" my butt off working on it. The new room is essentially complete. Last week I got my building permit and purchased the materials needed for the new layout room. Saturday I got the garage all cleaned out and ready for construction. Sunday I managed to get the main wall dividing the garage framed and sheet rocked on one side, the layout room side still needs wiring prior to sheet rock.

I learned about this new site over at Model Trains Weathered from jbaako. I'm 41 from Fort Scott, KS and model the Frisco Railroad in two different eras, the first era is August 1929 and era 2 is 1985 to 1995. Even though the Frisco disappeared in 1980 I decided mine wouldn't be merged with the BN but instead bought the Southern Pacific in 1995 so that the company could fulfill it's namesake (St.
