The progress that I have made on my home layout up to this point in the year has been very slow indeed so far. My career has been taking a lot of my time in the evenings during the week, and I have spent most weekends at the beginning of the year building an N Scale bend track layout for the club I am a member of to display at two of the local hobby shows in the area.

Since my last post I have received all my uprights from the powder coaters and placed them in position.

All the Level 1 modules are in position and I managed to lay my first piece of track on Christmas day.

The photo below is of the bridge scene in front of the window.

Photo 2 shows the corner module with the level 2 corner module in its final position below.

After completing a number of jobs around the house, I managed to get some time on the weekend to spend in the train room. I also got parts of the steelwork for the layout back from the powder coaters on Friday, so therefore construction could finally begin.

I spent some time working on level heights before the sending the parts to the laser machine to be cut. ( Excuse the drawing. It is not as clear as I would have liked. )

The construction of my new N Scale layout will soon begin. The new home that my wife and myself started building in October last year is now complete, and I have been using the opportunity over the last few weeks to get a feel for my new train room and going over the track plan to decide what changes I need to make to the bench work of my previous layout to fit into the new space, ( considerably smaller than the space I had in our last house ).
