The importance of the “Double Check” - derailment and cleanup
On Norfolk Southern Operating Rule 185 states that engineers must require anyone which manually operates a switch or a derail to “double check” the position to ensure it is properly aligned. This also goes for engineers when operating under restricted speed instances to make sure that switches are properly lined during a leading movement.

Seaboard Central September 2018 Update
Here’s the link to my September layout update. I did manage to weather a few cars and work on my engine service facility. I probably would have done more but I spent a couple of weeks down in my wife’s home country of Brazil. While there I had a chance to visit Iguaçu Falls, which is one impressive place if you ever get a chance to go.

Recently well known modeler Mike Confalone, whose efforts have become such an inspiration for my own modeling came up with a deadline track on his Allagash Railroad. Busch HO 5934 Crossing Signals
Need help! I’ve lost the instructions on how to wire Busch HO scale crossing signals. I plan on wiring them to an on/off switch so they can be controlled manually and power them with either a 9 volt battery or transformer. I’ve got three wires coming from each flasher and I know that the Black is the common. The flasher controller has one red and one yellow wire.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Tim

Seaboard Central March 2018 Layout Update
Happy Easter and happy spring Everyone! I’ve uploaded my latest update where I sceniked the lift out section on the layout featuring a Depot that’s been converted to a restaurant. I powered the LED interior lights from AA batteries. This little TOMA experiment turned out to be a real fun adventure. Hope you enjoy it!
