To All: The London Lake Erie Rwy was an Ontario, Canada electric interurban that existed from 1902 until 1918. Originally named the South Western Traction Company it was renamed LLE after a receivership sale in 1909. Known locally as "The Traction Line", the line was doomed on account of competition from the automobile and shut down in 1918. I painted, lettered and weathered this Accurail outside braced 40 foot boxcar in this "What If" scheme. Herald art work and photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. Elvin thanks for sharing this. I was born and raised in the London area. I had no idea you modeled this area.

London Lake Erie

Hi Elvin, Nice looking boxcar, great job. I've been a fan of another London area Interurban line / railroad, The London & Port Stanley. Very interesting to learn of another line, London Lake Erie, serving London and Port Stanley, thanks for the info.

Cheers,

Rich S.
