Just another Scale Modeler Ron Pare

Let's be honest, it does not take much for a project to get the pink slip, and get set aside for another project. I could toss out a thousand excuses at this moment, and maybe, so could you.

To me a project set aside isn't really a project lost anymore. Because I have a tool to make sure I get back on track, when the fancy hits, or a commission leaves the shop. I inherited this tool from my great-grandfather, you see he was a tinkerer too.

Oh and before you think I haven't been made fun of, because of this subject, think again, I have. But I stand behind it whole heartedly.

Very nice.  I do the same, although those that you got from your grandfather are much classier than my plastic tubs.

JS - yes, they were full of

JS - yes, they were full of junk when I pulled them from his shop. My mother said WTH are you doing. My response, these are nice trays!

Rich - are you saying I need to add the badge to my trays? I think that is appropriate. I have been planning on making some templates with my cricket to give each one a name. I am a bit eccentric maybe...

Every year or two I buy a case of these. Roughly 9x6x2 inches. Shop around, the price varies wildly, but you can find them very inexpensive.

You would think a case would be a lifetime supply. They do have a lot of uses, but I'm not sure what happens to them. They seem to disappear. Maybe they turn into coat hangers. Coat hangers seem to multiply like rabbits.

I have four (i think, they like to hide too) trays, they are like an unspoken cache. Can't empty one till the project is done...

Nice trays, I bet you could find some at a flea market. They always have interesting things.

Ron, I've been told I have a dry sense of humor. The Round TUIT is one of my most important tools, but I keep loosing it

It seems I start projects and some seem to never get finished. Being a apartment dweller, I do not have room for project trays (which is a good idea) so my projects end up in small stackable boxes made by Sterilite. Since I model in N scale, most building kit parts will fit nicely in the stackable boxes.

Even my work table made by Costco, folds up so it can be stored in the spare bedroom closet when not in use.

On a side note, your dioramas looks great, very nice modeling.

Cheers,

Rich S.

Haa Rich! I knew I was

Haa Rich! I knew I was missing something there lol.

Most of all my projects are built on smaller sized diorama's, as I am also space deprived. One Day... actually my landlord offered me a section of drive shed for my layout. I just need the loot to pay for it lol, always something.

I gave the landlord a big tour of all my models to try and strike at his imagination.Alas the farmer is a bit hopeless in terms of art and scale modeling...
