Brush with fame!

I noticed one of my Blog images appeared as a MRH banner ad in the Newsletter! My brush with fame! I have been published! Maybe I will hold off on quitting my day job just yet though..

Athearn and preview

Great newsletter, but I found a couple of flaws:

Page 2

The text on Athearns new Airslide hoppers is embedded In the text about PBL. and as mentioned the  PBL picture caption is listed twice.

Page 5 Issue sneakpeak - there seems that some text is missing in the column 2, between line 7 and 8.

Eagle-eye KnuT

Leave it to eagle-eye KnuT to find a typo in the sneak peek page text!

Yes, there's two sentences missing and we found them, so the actual paste up is fine.

As to the duplicated Athearn text ... well - I'll have to have a chat with our typesetter and proof-reader (my wife Patty). I promise I'll be nice (if I know what's good for me [wink] ...).

Add your own numbers

They do this so you can put your own numbers on if you want a locomotive that they don't offer pre-numbered.

Since they only put out maybe 2 to 4 numbers at a time, this is useful to people with a large fleet.

Download Feb issue

I have tried both formats but get a file titled "cheker.php" with both.

That's a glitch in the browser ...

... just change the .php part of the file to .pdf and it should open fine.

Cheker is our download link counter and it's supposed to immediately redirect you to the actual file - the browser downloads the actual file, but for some reason gets confused on the name.

We've changed the way we're doing downloads with the March newsletter and Issue 2, since testing has shown us what changes we needed to make to solve the download problems for most people. So no more cheker.php!

File appears as 'cheker.php' and download fails. I changed the file name to .PDF. - still wants to download "cheker.php.
