For the past several weeks I have been posting entries to the "please show us" series each Sunday... in my blog area!  I didn't even realize we had a dedicated discussion area!  So now I'm wondering if I can move these "blog" posts out of "blogs" and into the "locos and rolling stock" area of the Model Railroad Hobbyist discussion forum.  Is this even possible?  If so, would previous posts be transferred over?  If not, is it possible to delete blogs? (in which case I would simply copy over the initial post into the new topic and copy the photos and their posters and the text that went with them into a single "summary" post)

If neither of these is possible, is there anyone on the Model Railroad Hobbyist admin team who might be able to help (without compromising all their hopes and dreams for the day, I mean).  Or would that be going too far.

I can live with a mistake like this if I have to and can simply include all future posts of this sort in the "topics" section while still linking them to earlier posts.  I just want to give this a shot, just in case.

Check out the "Please Show Us Your Steam Locomotives" series, started me back in March 2020, and check out some of the cool locomotives owned by members of the Model Railroad Hobbyist forum.

Makes very little difference

Blogs vs topics makes very little difference in how the thread is received, if that's concerning you. The main difference is how YOU want to organize things. We do provide a little more post moderation assistance on blogs, but that's about it. Otherwise the two are virtually identical in how readers interact with them, since they both show up equally on the Recent Posts list. Moving them automatically is not possible from our end, sorry.
