I'd like to see a video demonstrating prototypical sound operation sequences. For instance start up, release brakes, revving up, coasting, coupling, etc. It would be cool to have a split screen with one shot of the model going through the sequences and the other showing the operators hand working the throttle.

Thanks

Hmmm ... Interesting suggestion, although I doubt this has been committed to film for older locos, so we may be out of luck for equipment that's been scrapped.

I think he means...

...the model version of this, not real iron.

Prototype first

Good idea, but I would suggest that it would be best done on prototype equipment.  Too many modelers model other models, and there are currently no sound decoders which get it 100% right.  Why not show the prototype first, and then give some suggestions on how to model it accurately?

More Track Planning

I would love to see more track planning articles -- both in the magazine and on trainmasters tv. I really enjoy learning about the rationale for why things are done a certain way. And I know all about John Armstrong's book and whatnot, I still enjoy listening to people pick apart a track plan and point out all of the relevant features and nuances of doing it "this way" versus "that way". I think a lot of other people do too. Whenever those sorts of threads come up on the site, they generally take off with a lot of participation and interest.

Otherwise, keep it up! You're doing a good job.

More operating videos

There are really no new operations videos.  Three are from the old DVD series, one is very limited outdoor ops, and the other is hand signals. That's it.  So maybe one new ops video in the bunch. Pretty weak in an area I thought would be well-covered here.

More Trainmasters!

It's all fun to watch!  We need more Barry's, Lionel's, Miles's, etc.

Yes, models!

Sorry if it was unclear! Definitely models although a real engine would be cool and very imformative too. I think it would be great to see a model going through the paces while the movements and sounds are being explained.
