So who on here is going to be in Hartford at the NMRA Convention July 5-12? Anybody on here giving a clinic at Hartford?

Let us know and maybe we'll need to make sure and watch for you!

Looks like just the train show Friday, but keeping options open.

I am still up in the air. I am going to the train show on Friday for sure.. but its looking more and more like there won't be money for the actual convention itself. I had hoped to do the Friday-Saturday thing but its a tough stretch when you figure all the expenses. Oh well.. hopefully I will meet as many people as possible at the train show! I am just happy I got to go the RPM meet which I was able to do on the cheap.

I am going to be in Vegas for a conference in the fall.. sadly not in september. That would have been too cool.. oh well..

I will watch it on MRH Theater

I wish that I could go too, but don't have the time off from the job.  I look forward to great coverage on MRH Theater.

Living the NMRA Convention Vicariously!

You aren't the only one. However you should know that the NMRA usually publishes a book that includes infromation about the workshops and presentations given in it. It's not like being there but it still contains much of what is discussed. You have to be an NMRA member to get it as far as I know.

Apparently, almost nobody on here will be there ...

Sounds like so far almost nobody on here will be in Hartford - you're all planning to watch our coverage of it - that's great, but I'm looking for people on here who will be there in the flesh.

We've got one or two so far - any others? Anybody on here who's also giving a clinic at Hartford?

Fast Tracks

I'll be there...

I'm arriving on Monday and setting up the CNJ Bronx Terminal in the model display room, where it will stay on display until Thursday sometime when it will be moved to our Fast Tracks booth for the National Train Show.

I will be joining Clark Kooning in presenting the Modeling with the Masters Turnout Building Clinic on Wednesday morning where we and 28 modelers will be building a turnout.

Looking forward to the week!

NMRA Convention

I'll be there from Tuesday through Sunday. This will be my first National Convention since 2001. I'm planning on doing three op sessions, one layout tour and a bunch of clinics. Too bad I'll get there too late to catch Joe's.

Hartford Convention

Hi Joe:

I will be there Sunday through Saturday. I will likely be at the LDSIG desk much of the time but I do plan to take both of the LDSIG tours.

See you there.

Looks like I may be at the convention

Looks like I might be able to do the convention after all.

I talked to the wife and my combined father's day and birthday (july) will be to sock away money to do the Friday-Saturday convention. I just gotta bring bagged lunch and keep it cheap like I did for the RPM meet..

Now I gotta convince some of the guys from my round robin group to go in on a room..

Not me

I won't be going to Hartford, but I'm likely to go to Sacramento in 2011 as that's probably as close it will ever come to me.

I'm debating with myself on whether to go to the SPH&TS convention at Portland, Oregon in September 2011.  Maybe I'll get an opportunity to visit a mushroom-style layout some of you may have heard about.  I've only been to one before: Otis McGee's in Oakland, CA.

I doubt I will be attending

I doubt I will be attending the convention, just don't have the time off from work.  I will be attending the North Jersey op sessions on the Sunday before though.

Show Only

I'm "in negotiations" to get up to the show as it's only about 90 minutes from my house.  I don't have an excuse to miss it so close to home.  While I think the convention would be great (I'd love to attend the waterfront & port operations clinics) I can't be there for those due to family commitments.  I'm going to try and take a day off of work to stop by the show when things may be a little less crazy...

Make sure and say hi

Rich:

Make sure you stop by the MRH booth and say hi!

We'll be there with all the Model Trains Video (MTV) volumes available on special (and with no shipping), plus we'll be giving MRH the royal plug as well.

We'll have a 42" flat panel TV in the booth, promoting MRH and showing previews of the MTV videos. All in HD at 720p ... pretty cool!

Chuck we can do better than that ...

Chuck:

We can do better than that ... we can interview you on video and then it will be available to tens of thousands of modelers who never made it to the show. Kinda makes the whole booth expense worth it in a new way.

We shoot the video for free, and post it on here for free - how cool is that?
