Check the published link

Just tried downloading the September RE via my Sendowl link, and while the Wide edition works as advertised, the Adaptive link redownloads the September MRH edition.

This, as of 2034 Eastern time.

Just a 'heads up!'...

Won't open in Abobe Acrobat 9

Suddenly I can no longer open the RE files in Abode Acrobat Pro 9!!  Appears you have changed something file wise.  MRH opens without issue.  Why the change to RE?

Same problem

Pdf asks for password to open (both formats, adaptive and wide), mind you this is on Linux. On Firefox it opens fine.

Strange

This password / open behavior is very odd, we used the same method we've used for the last three months to make this PDF. We changed to Affinity Publisher from Adobe Acrobat, that's the one big change we made in July. We have always put a password on CHANGING the magazine but never on opening, and we make no secret of that ... on bottom of the masthead / staff page, we always put the password just in case you need it. It's always the month + year, like this: Sep2020 Notice the month is three letters with the first letter caps. However, given the wierd behavior this month with passwords, I removed the password to change from the PDFs just now (so wide open, no passwords in sight anywhere), hopefully that fixes this password nonsense.

Email reminders

I must say MRH is thorough.  So far I have received 6 (six) email notices that the September issue is available.  Normally I only get 2 (two) notices.  They come two at time.

Email reminders

In the past, the email reminders did not seem to be sent so I complained to the programmers. Now, any time we make an update to the PDF files, it sends an email. We've updated the PDFs three times now, there are two PDFs (Adaptive and Wide) so it sends an email for each one.

So it looks like the programmers got the reminder emails working (and how).

The reminder email does mean you should download again if you want the latest and greatest. Most of the time, the updates are link and typo corrections.
